Ahavah is a Christian community based in Rushmere, Ipswich. We have a deep faith in God and His ability to do all things. Each member of our community is at a different stage in their journey but we have all been changed, and continue to be transformed, by the person of Jesus Christ and His power at work in us.
As individuals, we have discovered that life with Jesus is wild and adventurous. His love is so much greater and more extravagant that we could ever grasp.
As a community of Jesus' followers we trust in His word, the Bible. We believe this is the most incredible story of hope and courage, failure and triumph, grace and mercy, faith and justice. This story is ours too, and we would love to share it with you.

Ahavah gives people a place to belong. We are a relational, authentic community, who do life together with Jesus at the centre.
We provide a place for people to explore their own faith journey, and what it means to follow Jesus.
We have a culture of honour and encouragement. We learn from each other and seek to provide a safe place for people to ask questions, to be courageous, and to dare to trust God. This means we allow The Holy Spirit to change our lives because we believe God wants to bring renewal in every part of us.
Ahavah is a multi generational faith community. We believe that God pursues us, loves us and never gives up on us. We seek to love our community the same way.

​Our name 'Ahavah' means 'to love' and is also the name of a canal mentioned in the Biblical book of Ezra. This canal was a place that Gods’ people came to as they were coming out of exile, and heading home. It was a time when people were broken, tired, homeless and needed a lot of care. Many of us at Ahavah know these places ourselves and that's why it's important that we are a community which is safe, inclusive, and welcoming.

We don't have a designated building, instead we meet in individual homes around the area or in community spaces. Our gatherings include times of worship, discipleship groups, intercessory prayer, social gatherings and community events.

God Loves To Speak!
We believe God speaks to us in a variety of ways, no matter our age, background or history with God. We meet regularly to listen and wait on God, and listen to what he wants to say to us.
All the images used on our website have been specifically chosen as these reflect the pictures given to individuals, including children in the Ahavah Community, from the Holy Spirit.
