The Ahavah Story

We believe God loves to write new stories of adventure and hope that are always about Him doing new things in people's lives. We are dreamers, risk takers, pioneers, who believe that God loves people right where they are, and is inviting them to start discovering His love for themselves.

Ahavah Tapestries, Springs, and Encounters are the means by which people can connect in with Ahavah and find out more.

AHAVAH TAPESTRIES

" I want you woven into a tapestry of love, in touch with everything there is to know of God. Then you will have minds confident and at rest, focused on Christ, God’s great mystery. All the richest treasures of wisdom and knowledge are embedded in that mystery and nowhere else".

(Colossians 2v2-4 The Message)

Tapestries are a stunning work of art but take time to create. Our heart at Ahavah is to see God birth small communities of disciples woven together into a tapestry of love. This is created by strong relationships, vulnerability, and a commitment to pursue Jesus, His healing, wholeness, and transformation.

Our small groups are called Tapestries and they offer people an invitation to encounter Jesus, the work of His Spirit and ask questions about what it means to follow him.

There are currently three groups gathering each week. For more information please get in touch.

AHAVAH SPRINGS

"So God split open the rock basin in Lehi; water gushed out and Samson drank. His spirit revived - he was alive again! That's why it's called En Hakkore (Caller's Spring)." (Judges 15v19)

People often encountered the love of God, His refreshment and His Spirit when they were sat weary beside springs and wells. Jesus also met people personally at these places.

Ahavah Springs is the name we have given for our social gatherings, which are open to all and are created to be places of renewal, life and relational connection with God and others.

These have included shared meals, games nights and fish and chips on the beach.

AHAVAH ENCOUNTERS

The people were absolutely beside themselves and astonished beyond measure. And they began to declare, “Everything He does is wonderful!"

(Mark 7v37)

These words were spoken by the crowds about Jesus when He ministered, taught and healed people that came to Him. We believe Jesus still does this today through the power of The Holy Spirit.

Our Sunday mornings are called Encounters. We meet together at 11am at 25 Selkirk Road. If you would like to know more please do get in touch using the contact details provided.

AHAVAH MISHKAN

Mishkan is the Hebrew word for 'dwelling place' and refers more specifically to the dwelling place of God in the Bible. This was a physical meeting place but as a community of Jesus followers we believe God now dwells in us by his Holy Spirit.

We seek to bring the hope, life and love of Jesus to all who stop by at Mishkan.

Mishkan takes place fortnightly on Friday evenings 6:30pm-8:00pm on Moffatt Avenue, opposite the parade of shops. We provide free drinks and refreshments for all who pass by.

We would love to see you!

KALEIDOSCOPE

Ahavah Kaleidoscope is the name of our midweek group for children aged 4-11 year olds. At Ahavah we believe that God speaks to children and our prayer is that this group can provide another space for that to happen.

Our Wednesday gatherings provides a foundation and platform for children to ask questions, explore faith in Jesus and discover who God has made to be. We do this through creative activities, games and teaching.

This group meets at 25 Selkirk Road IP4 3JB on Wednesday's during school term times from 4-5pm . Our leaders have all undergone safeguarding training and have DBS checks.
